    AD Union Adarve

I couldn't be prouder of this moment in my life. I was just recruited with a contract (and the jersey, too) to AD Union Adarve here in Madrid. I am officially the very FIRST Indian origin player to sign with Spain's highest U19 division, Division De Honors.

    This is insane!

My team/division plays against big competitors such as Real Madrid and Leganes. The coaches are so tactical. The Spanish is harder to catch; I feel they speak a little faster even, maybe using more local dialect than the usual Spanish I speak and understand. And, yes, I'm the only foreigner here.

I'm well into my freshman year with Penn State University and am now living on my own with some flatmates. Public transportation, grocery shopping, and cooking are newer concepts for me to juggle with all else, but it's completely worth it for this opportunity.

I am thankful and working super hard each day to keep up and excel with Union Adarve. Exciting!

CF Rayo Majadahonda was an unexpected adventure for me. They loved my work, and I was immediately signed into their club. More challenging, this was a higher tiered local club, meaning they were a true Spanish soccer club, with little to no international athletes. I was the Indian kid from America that had to became Spanish real fast!

I graduated high school at the same time, worrying about college applications/acceptances. It was a lot, but I wanted to prove to myself and to my coaches and teammates, especially, that I belonged and would make it even further. CF Rayo Majadahonda had the same fast-paced environment as CF Fuenlabrada's. I picked up on sport efficiency and my speed improved more than ever.

The extra Spanish courses and learning I was doing really helped here, too. I was also accepted into Penn State University's sports medicine program, which I would take online with their world campus as I rose into my career

I received a recruit/trial request through my agent to CF Fuenlabrada in Madrid, Spain. Madrid is THE place to be for a soccer career, and this was it; I trained really hard for this, and admittedly to my surprise, I made the club!

Now living in Madrid, a high-profile city and also juggling high school along with the already high demands of my work in soccer, everything was exciting... and HARD. This club changed my perspectives on soccer even more, too. I realized Madrid played a more challenging skillset of the sport from anywhere I've ever seen over the years. Their technical skills, their tactics were ahead. I learned their ways, while also learning a lot of advanced Spanish to keep up with my coaches and city life!

    FC Malaga City

Playing in Germany felt like a dream. I was contacted towards the end of season via Instagram by an agent who was scouting top players for a club in Spain. He reached out to me after seeeing my profile, video highlights and more. I quickly set up a meet with us and my parents for an opportunity - after all, Spain and England are the #1 hubs of soccer in the world!

I trialed, passed and signed on with FC Malaga City in 2021 and was grateful, too, for the warmer weather! It was like back home in FL, sunny and beachside, on the southern coast near Marbella. I quickly advanced in my category there, was named team captain and firmly found my place as a midfielder, a position I found very natural to me. It was rewarding to travel, play other Spanish teams, and learn more proficiency in the sport. FC Malaga relied much on strategizing games very much ahead of time, which came easy to me, instinctually almost. I really found my footing here.

At IMG Academy, towards springtime, a recruiter that was there watching games approached my parents and asked to meet about my future in soccer. He liked my plays and strategizing during practices and games. After a couple of meets, I was going to Germany to play for SC Borea Dresden for the next season. I was finally going to play in Europe, the hub of soccer!

I couldn't believe it since I had just played in Germany a couple of years ago for Team USA - it felt like a full circle and just destined to be. Playing in Dresden taught me, most of all, resilience. My teammates were much older than me, more developed technically, too. At first, I felt like I was playing catch-up and keep-up in the world of soccer there. Once adjusted, I was made striker and even team captain a couple of times. I scored my first international goal there, too. I was proud of myself for perserving. It was the best learning environment (and really cold).

While with FL Premier FC in Tampa Bay, FL, IMG Academy reached out after seeing some videos of mine on

social media. It was a longshot in my mind, but it was agreed to have recruiters come and see me play. I made the prestigious academy and developed my skills more than ever during my freshman year of high school. Staying on-campus in Bradenton, FL taught me so much. I had a great team and coaches, a roommate and a high school schedule full of classes - it wasn't an easy adjustment to juggle it all at once. Most of all, I learned more discipline and a sense of responsibility to myself. My parents visited me every weekend and attended all my games; that kept me grounded and altogether, this enforced my decision, my passion, of striving for more in my dream of pursuing professional soccer.

I was invited to try out for GFL Soccer Enterprises that summer before playing for FL Premier FC. I ended up making Team USA and flew to Berlin, Germany in 2018 to play a well-known German youth team. This opened my eyes to the WORLD of soccer. I had never realized Europe's soccer power before, and decided then and there that's where I needed, I wanted, to be to achieve my professional dream of playing soccer.

A favorite coach and mentor of mine decided to move clubs - and I followed. I joined FL Premier FC in the fall of 2017. It was definitely more competitive, and it furthered my drive.

I played for WCSC for about 6 or 7 years. It was good for me traveling within Florida and exploring different teams and playing strategies. I also learned to begin balancing soccer practices 4 times a week along with weekend games and a full honors school schedule, too!

I joined my first soccer club at 4 years old, The Wesley Chapel Soccer Club (WCSC), as a recreational player. The director, Mr. Robert, watched me play a couple of weeks and transferred me to the competitive team, bypassing the usually required developmental club in between. It felt really good then at 5/6 years old to be chosen highly amongst so many - it inspired me so much!

    My Startup, The YMCA

I began playing soccer for the first time at 2 1/2 years old at my local YMCA. My Godfather/Uncle encouraged soccer into my life after he played soccer nationally for India. I picked it up right away and took a loving to it. Fun fact, my parents each tried to get me into other sports such as football and basketball, but soccer never left my heart.
